Swiss Chard Green
55 days. More compact 16 in./40 cm plant with dark green, deeply savoyed, glossy leaves and broad white stems. Excellent taste, slow to bolt. Packet sows 15-25 ft./5-8 m of row
This is a mix of Chards each with different coloured stems. It is great to eat and looks good as an accent plant in the flower garden or as the centre of a planter.
- Swiss Chard is easy to grow.
- Plant it anywhere and with normal amounts of water and care it will thrive.
- Picking off the leaves as they are ready to eat promotes more growth.
- Plant 2-3′ apart and 4-5′ between rows.
