I’ve always thought that your either LOVE or HATE Brussels Sprouts – that there was no middle ground. As a kid I admit to being in the not friendly camp – but then I was introduced to the now famous ‘Shredded with garlic Brussels Sprout – and now I am a fan!! If you have never tried them straight out of the garden – they are worthy of a second chance. You will be surprised how tender and sweet they are compared to the old bitter ones found in the grocery stores. This long season crop actually tastes better when hit with a slight frost. The plants look really neat in the garden as well – several small cabbage-shaped heads are grown along stalks 3 – 3.5 feet tall & 2 feet wide.
